| About LGRs |
| LGRs are the graphic files in the game. There are saved all pictures like trees and textures. If the standard files are too boring you can replacs them with your own graphics. |
| Preparation |
| Before beginning you need the LGR-DK (Downloads - Stuff). Extract all files. There are all standard graphics in pcx-format avaible. |
| Simple graphics |
Now you can edit the files with a program. But you are not allowed to change the size. After that run <Make_lgr.exe> . It will create a new file, which is called noname.lgr. Rename this file and move it into your Elasto Mania LGR directory. To play your lgr on internal levels rename it to default.lgr.
Almost every file has the name you know it from the editor. But files, which starts with a Q1 are parts of player 1 bikes and Q2 are parts of player 2 bikes. Files with a Q are animated objects or parts of the gras.
The background color in the files is transparent in the game. |
| Animated graphics |
Animated graphics are apples, killer and the goal. These files contains 50 pictures, which will be played one after one. You have to edit alle these pictures. If a picture is defective, e.g. it is too big, the animation will stop.
You can make 9 different apples, you already know Qfood1.pcx and Qfood2.pcx. You can choose them in the apple menu in the editor. |

| It is not nessacery, but easier if you first extract allfiles with ResEdit, because then you will see which files you need. |

| While replacing the files you do not have to keep the same qualtiy and length. But then it is possible that you will lost some quality. |
